One of the very best teas I have ever tasted. Lightly roasted, it smells of bread and a sauna, but subtly and delicately. Of chocolate, too. There are lots of golden leaves—that is, unopened buds—which make the tea so delicious and expensive.
The tea is red (i.e. black), but instead of the traditional flavor, it has a roasted one.
I have hardly any left, but never mind—we'll buy more next year.
Last year, the tea with this flavor was
ZHENG SHAN XIAO ZHONG OF WU YI FUJIAN BLACK TEA * SPRING 2015
This year, it was slightly disappointing: the flavor was a little harsh.
